Testing & Inspection

What to expect

Inspection that tells you the truth. An inspection is only useful if it is thorough and honestly reported. We test methodically, explain what we find in plain English, and never invent work that does not need doing.

Fault finding, done methodically.Tripping circuits, intermittent faults, mystery switches. We diagnose systematically rather than guessing, fix the cause rather than the symptom, and certify the repair.

Certification for completed work.Where work needs certifying, we test and sign it off with the correct paperwork, so your records are in order for insurers, buyers, landlords or building control.

Local to you.Dedicated pages for the areas we serve most: our emergency electrician cover in Nottingham.

Testing & Inspection FAQs

What is the difference between an EICR and testing and inspection?

An EICR is the formal report produced after a periodic inspection of an installation. Testing and inspection is the wider discipline: periodic inspections, testing new or altered work before certification, and diagnosing faults.

Can you find intermittent faults?

Yes. Intermittent faults need methodical diagnosis rather than part-swapping. We test systematically to isolate the cause, fix it properly and certify the repair.

Do you certify work completed by others?

We inspect and test installations and report honestly on their condition. Whether existing work can be certified depends on what testing reveals; we will always tell you plainly where things stand.
